Serving Others

God's word clearly tells us to serve others.  In Galatians 5:13, Paul encourages the followers of Jesus by saying, "...through love serve one another." 

One of the core values that is allowing the stream to flow wherever God leads is a heart to serve people, whether it is the poverty stricken, the financially strapped, the struggling marriage, the lonely teenager, the widow down the road, the secretary going through a divorce, the coach who lost his wife, the military family adjusting, the teacher of a special needs class, the drug addict, the hungry, the single mom, the person struggling with their past, the homeless, heartbroken, the orphan, the foster family, the bankrupt businessman, the overloaded stay at home mom, or the sick cancer patient (to name just a few).

It is clear that wherever you live, the culture and world around you is broken.  People need Jesus and the way to show them His love and hope is by serving them right where they are.  The opportunity to help others is EVERYWHERE.  God calls us to help, serve and love others with our time and resources.  The location of WHERE you help is irrelevant, but it is important that you do it!
